Places and arrival/departure alerts

A place is a named area on the circle's map. When a member enters or leaves it, whoever asked to be told about that place gets an alert.

Everyone starts with four templates to fill in — Home, Work, School and Grocery Store. A template does nothing until you put it on the map.

Add a place

1. Open Home and open the sheet at the bottom of the map.
2. Tap Places, then Manage Places.
3. Tap Add a new place.
4. Search for an address, drop a pin on the map, or use where you are right now.
5. Set the radius and give the place a name.
6. Save it.

A place's radius is between 50 metres and 5 kilometres. Adding places is free on every plan, up to 100 per circle.

Choose which places tell you, and about whom

1. Open Manage Places and tap the place.
2. Open its alerts.
3. Pick the members you want to hear about, and whether you want arrivals, departures, or both.

Alerts are personal. Somebody else asking to be told about a place does not sign you up, and your choices do not change theirs.

Edit or delete a place

1. Open Manage Places and tap the place.
2. Tap Edit place to change its name, position or radius.
3. To remove it, choose delete and confirm.

The member who created a place, plus the Owner and Admin, can edit or delete it. Deleting stops everyone's alerts for that area, and cannot be undone.

Saving places is free; being told about them is what a plan buys

• Free: 3 places can alert you
• Silver: 15
• Gold: unlimited

If you reach the limit, either turn alerts off for a place you care less about, or upgrade the circle from the Membership tab.
